Default Guitar Hero III

Anyone on here play it ? If so, what platform are you using?

Myself, im on the PC. Why, because the last console I purchased (well ok I didnt really buy it.. it was stolen for me and I bought it from the guy that stole it from his work) ..... was the SNES system. hehe.

So I "borrowed" the torrent file from the internet and tested it out and it ran on my computer. Even tho the game says it needs a 2.8ghz and I only have a 2.0ghz. It still runs fine. Occasionally it would freeze up and occasionally it would run into minor lag, but ... it runs.

Now I still havent figured out if the online play even works on the PC version. It has it .. but it wont connect to anything.

Xbox / PC version are almost identical btw.

I played it once on xbox360. The guy who's house I was at had it hooked up to a LCD projector and projected it on a 10x20 foot wall, which was pretty cool. But, I will say, being a true guitar player, the game is pretty damm tough, because it's nothing like the real thing!

I had no idea there was a pc version available, let alone a MAC version!!! I might have to consider it now!!

HAHA, guitar hero.... everyone is obsessed w/ that game, at least the people i hang out with. Me, i can't stand it. I'm not musical at all or that coordinated w/ my fingers. I just get pissed off at it.

Forza Motorsport for Xbox though, now that is a bad ass game. Can't beat simulation driving around Nurbergring!

Friend of mine has a projector "borrowed permanently" from where he used to work, which is also where his 2 roommates work, which their house is on the exact same grounds as were his friends work... (did u follow me on that one).. lol.

Its not the sharpest, but its decent enough for wall sized movies with tower speakers.

I played guitar more when I was in highschool. Free time, no jobs, no life .. umm sorry hun .. no girlfriends. I still play acoustic @ my cottage occasionally. I also have a 4 string fender bass guitar that is about 10 years old.

Agreed the game seems harder then playing the real songs.

Friends of mine had it for the PS2. We visited them a week or so ago and well that was it. So we went out boxing day shopping (basically its like black friday to you guys) and bought some dvds and the game.

There is a group on facebook if u wanted to join it

I bought the PS2 version for my son for Christmas. I got a 2 guitar package. Probably one of the best gifts we've ever bought. The whole family was into the multiplayer game most of the day...

Great tunes on GH III. I thought that would give me and edge over my son, but he's played enough now that he just smokes me...

supposedly you can load other songs into it as well! The guys I played with had a few different songs in the bonus rounds. Kinda cool.

btw, did anyone see the south park episode where they were all obsessed with GH3?? they all wanted to see who could break a million points, there was all kinds of drama and sleepless nights, and when they finally did, the screen popped up with this obscene message that was frickin' hysterical...

Apparently you can download tracks (for a fee of course). But I think its mostly for the PS3 / Xbox tho. Nothing for the PC ...

I have "bought" Rise against from the extra tracks in the options menus.

I dont really watch south park .. heh. So never seen it.
