Default Rain, rain go away .....

...........come again some other weekend when im working !!!!

This weekend I wanted to go up to grab the boat from the marina and so far the forecast is rain and rain. I might still end up going up there and hope there it is a clear time in which to fetch it from the north end. Otherwise, it will just have to sit up there for another week or two.

grrrrrrr

Saturday is looking nice. Sunday, well, we'll wait and see...

I'm stoked. Took a little road trip last night to hook up with a sweet deal on this:

It's gonna replace my current 3 blade aluminum.

I go straight to the horses mouth:

    http://www.wcas.uwaterloo.ca/forecast/

It's only a 48 hour window, but remarkably good at predicting what's in store.

Awesome ! Never seen that before

There is this also (just googled it)....
    http://weatheroffice.gc.ca/canada_e.html

I have two of those small hand held personal walkie talkie radios (Cobra) and they pickup Weather forecasts from Environment canada. So we bring them on the boat to listen to any updates while on the water. Since I don't have a radio on board.

You know, the more I post on here about Weather webpages, we should almost make a sticky !

I'll have to watch the U of W site. Most of these weather "forecasters" cant correctly predict the weather even while it's happening.....

Well the WCAS was right on the money for this last weekend.

Awesome weather. I finished my stereo upgrade, put on my new stainless prop and hit the water. Conditions were perfect.

It was like Fathers day a week early!

I had all the hopes of boating this weekend, no such luck.

Apparently the parts haven't arrived just yet for the carb (rebuild kit). So by the time I get up north again it will be the 21st. So I will hopefully pick up that weekened.

Otherwise, what a great weekend! Had some thuderstorms in the evening and only saw rain during the day on the way home Sunday.

The other thing we noticed was a significant lack of boaters this weekend.

We went to Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee last week. It was out second time on the water this season... and our last.

The first day the engine (4.3LX) blew 6.5 miles down the lake. We towed it back with our Yamaha FX Cruiser HO, which had only 16 hours on it.

The next day a deranged lady ran into our son's truck and the double trailer he was towing. His Yamaha FX HO and our Cruiser were on it and all were totaled, but he's okay.

The vacation from Hell for sure.
