Took the family out boating today and after I had let the kids swim for a while I went to start the motor and broke the key off in the ignition. Fortunately I was able to get the boat started, but what is the process to getting this fixed.

Remove the ignition switch and take it to a local locksmith would probably be the cheapest option. Tho, with a bit of inventiveness and lots of patience, you might be able to tease the broken-off key out of there, yourself.

Take it to a locksmith. You know how many 18 packs that would take? haha, cheaper at the locksmith.....

A new ignition is $20-$25. It might be easier to just swap it out.
