Aerial Airborne Tower on 1996 Z201 Talari

4 Attachment(s)
I just installed the tower and tried it out on the water last weekend. It was great. There was not a single creak or moan from this solid tower. Installation was fairly straight forward, and easy. It took me about 3 hours overall to install. I was planning on taking pics to document the whole thing because there arent enough for the Mariah out on the internet, but once I got going it totally escaped my mind. Sorry about that. I would be happy to answer any questions bou the install you may have. Let me tell you that this tower has exceeded expectations. I thought that a universal tower couldn't be this nice. I was wrong. I picked it up from ebay for $800. I can't wait to try it out on smooth water. The day I went was pretty choppy. I guess that really tested it for moans and creaks. I would recomend this tower to anybody who is thinking of putting a universal tower on their boat.

I am not a fan of towers, sorry.

But this one looks GREAT. I really like the lines how the frame is shaped to the window frame. Nice choice and looks like a job well done.:wink_thumbup:

Just wondering what that set you back?

I am glad you like the tower. Especially since you aren't a fan of them. That makes the compliment even better. Thanks. This Tower set me back $800 plus about another $30 in epoxy and plywood materials. I got it from ebay, but it was sold by the fabricator. If you go directly to their site it is $999 plus another $150 shipping. I think I got a pretty good deal. I have seen it cheaper though.

The tower looks custom, not generic. I like the lines as it follows the window frames and overall height.

Thank you. I spent a lot of time finding the right one for the boat.

considering this was an Internet purchase, without the opportunity to "test" fit any pieces. I think it looks like it was made for your boat as the template ....... :wink_thumbup:

We're looking for a tower and this one looks really clean and nice... Does the tower collapse at all? Whom did you buy it from on Ebay?
Thanks Doug

Yes the tower collapses. It does require you to have an allen wrench (comes with the tower) to collapse it though. That could be annoying if you plan to collapse it often. I got it from H20sportswarehouse on ebay. It is the same guy that actually distributes the towers. You can preview them on their website www.H20sportswarehouse.com, or his ebay store is located here Speakers, Towers items in H2O Sports Warehouse store on eBay! Good luck, and if you need any more details or pics let me know and I can get them for you.

Best of all, it doesn't look like it will cause any problems with your Bimini top.

Exactly. I already put the bimini on the boat. It fits fine.

Very nice choice Mariahmaroo!! Looks great! I also have a Talari and have been looking for towers. Have you wakeboarded behind it yet? Does it flex much when you cut to one side? I'm also concerned about how much my boat will lean when you cut to one side with the pull point so high but I guess the wake will just get bigger on the side you want then.

It doesn't flex much at all. It isn't even notable if it is flexing. I am 6'1" tall and 195 lbs. I am very impressed with how strong it is. Also when somebody cuts with the wakeboard you feel it a little but it didn't seem much worse than when pulling from the low tow. It doesn't feel like the boat is leaning over, Nor does it persuade the steering much. I don't think you will be disappointed with this tower. I love mine.

Thank you.
I knew my boat is on their website. I sent them pictures and they decided to use them. I was glad they did because if they use your picture they send you a free T-shirt. The shirt looks pretty good too. Anyways, I am glad you like it. Thanks again.

Update...
This is now my second season with the tower. It is holding up great. The tower does get water spots on it pretty easily, but that is expected. As far as towing is concerned, it is awesome. It helps pop people right out of the water, which is a big plus for learners. My wake doesn't get big enough for crazy jumping, but this tower definitely helps you get more air than the low tow. Anyways, I am still loving the tower in case you are interested.

Not too bad, but I wouldn't travel with it that way. Sorry I don't have a picture.
