Yes at first I had some shaking but that was before I put the backing on. When I put my backing on the inside I took a grinder and ground down the edges and center so the backing plate would mold to the inside of the boat. I also used two tubes of 5200 before securing the backing plate. What the 5200 does is fill any voids that I might not of gotten when grinding the backing plate. I lightly snug everything together to allow the 5200 to setup and then go back and really tighten everything all together and check all the other set screws. You have to check all the set screws constantly for the first few times that you use the tower,and by then the set screws will have completely seated into position and the towers should be completely secured.
