Hello
Can any one tell me is it possible to remove the sump and replace the gasket in a 2000 182 with a
Volvo penta 4.3 L v6 while it is still in the boat any help or suggestions will be appreciated

I don't have a 4.3L but I doubt that you can remove the oil pan without pulling the motor/outdrive.

There is no way you'll get it clear of anything in the bilge.
Sorry..........gotta pull motor. At least most of the way out.
Just not enough room in a 18' boat.:(

Thought: If I were going that far , I'd definitely replace the rear main seal while I was that far into her.:wink_thumbup:

Negative, make sure you run the engine and leak check it before you put it back. The RTV seals on front and rear have a habit of leaking...
