Hey MW Mariah, in case you do come out and haven't heard; The water is too low to put in at the state park ramp. Sounds like LPYM is the best place to dip right now.

We are headed out as early as we can get out of work. Perfect temps and wind. We'll probably sleep on the hook tonight.

Sorry I didn't make it. I ran into a little snag with the boat.

I am still determining the extent of what I am looking at but I discovered the exhaust bellows needed to be replaced and I hadn't had it looked at by a shop after buying it so I took it to a local shop for a check up.

Well I will be going through everything myself. They called yesterday and told me the engine was "shot" and that I needed to replace it and that it would be about $7500 (yea seriously ) said compression was 1-185 2-100 3-180 4-160 5-175 and 6-165 ... and that they scoped #2 and it was "badly scored". Now mind you this boat flat gets it and was in the water a week ago, never ran rough, idles sweet runs like a top. So lets just say I am skeptical. besides the fact that any "GOOD" shop would have offered a reman and gotten me out the door for less than 4 grand. Anyway, I will be working on her Saturday morning, gonna go ahead and replace the exhaust bellows, water separator, check the compression myself etc. Either way even IF it needs a new engine I will limp through the rest of the season.

    Sorry I missed it guys!
