Default Planning a Catalina / Avalon trip.

This is to any So Cal Boaters. I'm planning a Trip to Catalina within the next 3 weeks. If anyone would be interested in joining us let me know. Plan to launch early morning out of Seal Beach, make the run, hopefully see some whales, take a mooring for the nite at Two Harbors, and come back the following afternoon departing around noon.
You don't need to launch from Seal Beach, we can meet before the enterance to the channel so anyone coming from all points south, or north, we could pick a GPS point and meet up then head out..
Any takers???

    Default Too Bad

Sorry I didn't see this earlier! I would love to make the same trip. I've been trying to set something up with some other boaters, but what a way to make an entrance. A fleet of Mariahs! Maybe next season.
I also want to go to Havasu. If the gas prices continue to fall we'll be in heaven next year.

    Hi Jeff,

Let me know when you are going to go...I live in the South Bay and launch out of San Pedro and would like to meet up, if even for the day. I go over quite often and it is a nice trip if the swells and wind aren't too high. Are you planning to stay at Isthmus Cove or Cat Harbor. The water in Cat is quieter. I usually moor in Avalon and take the water taxi in for dinner and drinks.

Just an FYI, Jeff Barnett sold his Mariah around March '08, and has made it clear to the admins that he has no plans to visit this site anymore.
