If you go to Shell Knob through Aurora on Hwy 39 It is not to bad but not at all like Kansas. The road is windy, hilly and narrow compared to most two lane hwys in Kansas I would not want to blow a tire or loose a wheel bearing between Aurora and Shell Knob. I have seen more than one boat in trouble on this strech. I am not saying not to go I do myself but ck your tires hubs and hitch.
