Re: need a new trailer

I would appreciate both you guys taking a look seems like the price doubles the minute you cross the border I can get some nice prices out of the states but all the dealers up here prices are nuts. I have one more shop up here taking a look at the prestige see how much he can do it for then I am pretty much at the replace the trailer for sure stage. Thanks guys.

Re: need a new trailer

HUGE BOAT FIBERFOAM OCEAN GOER. Ditch the boat at the dump for probably $350 in waste fees or part it out on the net and keep the trailer. Dont know how long it is, just says HUGE

Best boat trailer manufacture in the NW (my opinion) is Ryan Trailers just outside of Portland. Greg is a great guy, owns a small shop, has been building trailers forover 20 years. check out his website.Welcome to Ryan Trailers!

Re: need a new trailer

darkcalling 07-12-2011 07:34 PM

Re: need a new trailer

$6738.00 I have to arrange pick up or shipping though is the only thing. But compared to up here and since he is the only one who has responded, and with some nice factory looking graphics. Not a bad deal I hope.

Re: need a new trailer

Might not seem like such a great deal to you folks down south, but up here thats pretty good if I can find some decent shipping to get it over towards Montana now lol.

Re: need a new trailer

hold tight for 48 hours before dropping the dime on the new one. I think I may have found one, just refurbished, but need to find out size next.

You might look at UShip for getting one transported, if you go that route.

Did he send you any pics of what the "factory graphics" on the trailer would look like? just curious to see how closely they compare with the original ones by chariot and prestige!

darkcalling 07-13-2011 02:33 PM

Re: need a new trailer

No sorry he had no pics of one with Mariah graphics but I saw a few others they have done up for they look like original, for the boats that are on them I know its the internet and photoshop is easy. But looking around Heritage seems to have a decent rep. as does Bald Mike from what I can research, if anyone knows otherwise let me know. Biggest problem is they are made out east so have to add some shipping, unless we can get club members to pony it along lol.

Re: need a new trailer

OK...so my customer has one. It's an EZ Loader style (rollers). The trailer is 25.5 feet long. Im gonna get a length measurement from the front roller to the tail of the trailer.

he's asking $1750. It has a load capacity of 5850 lbs. Dual axle.

Thanks I think I will order up a new Heritage I appreciate you checking into it for me though. I think if I just get a new one and take care of it I will have the combo for a long time, planning on running this set up till I am done boating. I love the looks and feel of this Z278.

Just curious... what happened to your prestige? Is it not rebuildable? Or just looking for something better?

I thought i'd get on the internet and do some searching as well. I didn't realize how many crappy boat trailers are on the market, or how expensive the nice one's really cost. I did find a company that makes some wild units... check them out.

http://www.beartrailersports.com/index.html

They make a trailer to haul your boat.. with your jetski's over head! not sure how it works... but i'm betting their stuff is uber expensive.

Hi Nick no my trailer is beyond a real safe repair without basically building a new one she is rusted out needs brakes so I figured might aswell look into a new one.

Where did you send the request?

darkcalling 07-27-2011 12:29 AM

Re: need a new trailer

To that Bear trailer place you posted the link to, so far nada but its not the first place not to answer either.

Re: need a new trailer

So far looks like either Heritage or Metal craft about same both seem to be decent trailers from what I can find out. Only up side for the Metal craft is thier dealer is alot closer in Nevada I can make the run in a wekend. Heritage still has the Mariah hull spec sheets as they bought out Prestige Trailers, they are still actually in the Benton Il. factory. The prices are within $200 of each other.
