6000lb Sunstream Sun Lift
 

Now that the temp is rising back up from -10 here in Ireland I'm starting to think about the comming seasons plans. I want to buy a lift and I am considering a 6000lb Sunstream Hydraulic Sun Lift. Any one have experience with this make or advice on similar as no one in Ireland even knows what a boat lift is. I intend to import it from USA so all advice welcome.

Not familiar with lifts personally, but I have been many places where boat lifts are a standard feature for those with boats.

People I've talked to swear that they are the best thing ever invented! And judging by the slime and grime on the bottom of my boat after it sits in the water all summer, I would tend to agree that they would be a great thing to have under the right circumstances.

I boat in a river, so there is no way I could use a lift, but if I was on a lake, I would use on, no question!

Thanks Depman160 for your thoughts on the lift. I couldn't wait any longer for other responses and purchased the Sunstream sunlift. Looking forward to having it installed. More boating and less launching and retrieving. If it is as good as they say I will let you know.

glad I could add my two cents....like I said, everyone I've talked to that has a lift loves them! if I lived in a place I could have one, I would too!

I've got a 2008 RGC 4,000lb Electric lift with the 28ft Canopy. Love it, best thing ever. Even though my boat is bottom painted. Nothing like worrying about your bilge working, did the cover fly off ect. I lift her tight under the canopy, and tie the boats 2 ropes off (incase the cables break during the week, i'm an hour away, and had this happen 20 years ago with an older lift) She sits there until thursday/friday night and we take her down. I know with Electric-Cable lifts, they have to be dead nuts level or very close to, other wise you'll be whipping cables and things out of them like water. You won't be sorry for the lift at all!
