Trailer rusting away!

My 97 21'6" Mariah Telare sits on a beautifully made Chariot trailer. The trailer was obviously made for fresh water. In the seven + years of ownership in the San Diego area, using the boat in salt water, the trailer is seeing its demise. I am getting concerned about rust through in cross members and the forward center rail. Does anyone have a good answer for this? Should I look at replacing the trailer or having it repaired?

Most people say to go Aluminum, I always wondered what the cost would be to re-powder coat a trailer.. That alone would buy you 5 more years I think...

I just got a quote on the trailer for my 19'er. The guy said he could do it for $700 but he figures the average estimate from most companies would be closer to $1100. This guy has done a lot of work for people I know at rate discounts in this same range, so Ill take his word for it.
