I cant see a 1200lb difference even if there was a full tank in the boat and it was loaded down (which it was not). Thanks for the info. Welcome to MOC!

Overall the 250 ride very nice. Its long and heavy with a decent V on it. Light wind chop does not bother it much if at all. The roughest water I have had it in would be the narrow fingers of Powell where the waves bounce from wall to wall. I had to putt putt through them but they were really big.

Our lake gets some pretty good sized white caps that turn to rollers when the winds pick up. It goes through them relatively well. There is no comparison to a 42' Fountain but for a stern heavy 25' boat the 250 does good.

I have smart tabs and they really helped the ride by keeping the bow down. My boat always ends up stern heavy with fuel, ice chests and people. If people go into the cuddy it helps a lot in the bigger waves.

    What year is the boat/trailer?

Electric brakes, huh? I was always told that boat trailers had hydraulic brakes.....

They typically come with them from a manufacturer. I spent a lot of time reading up on them. I have zero regrets since changing to them from surge brakes.

Did you go straight electric, or electric over hydraulic?

Did you do any type of write-up on here? I'm really interested!

    Prestige torsion trailer

It's not as thorough as a write up as other members make but it has a few pictures.

I tow my Z250 with a 2002 dodge 1500. It has a 4.7 v8 and 3.92 gears. It does the job pretty well but i'm in flat country.
