Hull problems
I live in Kansas and I own a R20 Bowrider. The boat has less than 50 hours on it and noticed some spider web cracks in the gel coat on the bottom side of the hull. My insurance company denied the claim because the cracks were not caused by some type of impact. The hull is supposed to have a life time warranty. How do I go about contacting someone from the factory to get the boat looked at by an authorized dealer?

Re: Hull problems
Good luck with this one. Sea-Fox (the manufacturer of your boat) is in the process of selling their interest in the Mariah line of boats and as such, i'm not sure how they will respond to your warranty claim. Here's a link to their website, here is a link to their Warranty information and there is a "Contact Us" link at that site.

Re: Hull problems
Sorry to hear about this jayhawkboater.
Sea Fox Mariahs have been somewhat notorious for developing spider cracks, mainly in the interiors, but this is the first I've heard of it being on the bottom of the hull. I really hope they'll stand by their product and make things right with you. But with Sea Fox selling the Mariah line to another manufacturer, I'm not sure if they'll honor their lifetime hull warranty... :shakehead: Give them a call and see what they say. Keep us updated on this one. |
