On my new mariah there are some minor issues like replacing the depth finder, a few loose and broken bits of trim, this is the most major issue I found. It did not seem to affect the handling at all and the story I got was it had a stablier on the the outdrive and it flung off going down the highway.
The material of the outdrive appears to be cast. I wonder if its worth repairing with via filling/welding and painting? Thoughts? |
Re: New Mariah to me
Just another example of what those ridiculous outdrive stabilizers can do. I would get the plate filled & welded then repainted to reduce the potential for cavitation damage to your prop.

Re: New Mariah to me
Any reputable prop repair shop can do that right?

Re: New Mariah to me
There are probably a large number of them in the NC, SC / Virginia area. Possibly someone here from that area can recommend a prop shop for you.
Here's one that i heard about but have no experience with: Blue Ridge Propellor Repairs. Website indicates he does lower unit welding along with hub repairs. |
