SX19 and wakeboarding
 
hi everyone, im almost to buy a mariah sx19 2006 but i need to know if this boats creats a good wave for wakebording, my family want to buy a mariah boat iand the have a good deal with this one sx 19. Most of the usage of this boat will be wake boarding, so i would want to now how good is this boats for this sport.

The SX19 should be satisfactory for wakeboarding but are not purpose built for that use. If you want a pure wakeboarding/skiing boat then look at a Moomba/Ski Nautique/Mastercraft or Malibu.

I also see in your info that you either have or are looking at one of these boats with a 3.0L motor. That motor wont be sufficient for pulling wakeboarders or skiiers on a 19ft boat unless you add a pair of Smart Tabs. Adding Smart Tabs though will flatten your wake out which isn't good for wakeboarding.

Supra's are nice too. You need a mid-engine boat.

If you are just a casual wake border it's great.. My wife wake boarded behind our sx19 all weekend.. No problems. Perhaps find a sx19 with a waketower? If you are more hard core? There was one for sale near me with one just too much coin for my tastes.
