Carburetor problem?
I have a 2003 Mariah SZ25. Last year boat ran great & had it winterized. Opened the boat with a full tank of gas and tried to start it. Seems that the carburetor isn't getting gas. Any suggestions?? Gas filter or pump?

Re: Carburetor problem?
A guy last summer had the same problem...His kill switch (red string with black horse-shoe looking part) had pulled out. Hopefully that's your issue. Or put your battery on a drip over night and see if that helps.

Re: Carburetor problem?
I'm assuming you have an electric fuel pump. When you turn on the key, you should hear the pump run for a second. This might take a second person sticking their head down under the back seat next to the pump. If the pump doesn't run, check to see if the pump is getting power. If it's getting power and not running, then it's a bad pump. If it's not getting power then start checking relays/fuses/connections, things of that nature. If it's running, but still no fuel in the carb, check filters/injectors.

Re: Carburetor problem?
All you need to start a boat is spark, gas, and compression. Check for all three.
