Trailering Mishap=Gelcoat Repair

The title says it all folks,

Somehow my forward trailer bunk flipped on edge last time I loaded and I drove 100 kM home before I noticed it.

I was able to jack, remove and reposition ok yet I see the metal bunk post rubbed a hole through the hull gelcoat about the size of a dime.

My questions: Is this an immediate repair, as in don't launch until this is fixed. Will I risk damage to the hull if not addressed right away. Second, is this something a fairly handy fellow like myself can carry out? This will be an upside down operation and I've never worked with gelcoat.

Perhaps this is best left to the pros?

Comments, advice most welcome. How could you be so dumb quota in good measure by the misses. :shakehead:

Ok,

so rather than re-post I saw a quick video on youtube and this looks pretty straight forward. And yes, I see this needs to be done sooner than later to prevent delamination.

Cheers,

Y

Awesome! :eek_animated:

Thanks MikeyT. I checked the webstore for our local Chandlery here in Ottawa and they carry the stuff.

Thanks again.
