25 SC Tachometer problems
 

I have a problem with my tachometer, it suddenly shows 1000 rpm to much. at top speed it goes up to 6100 rpm. ( usually 5100-5200 rpm)

The motor is running fine, this proplem comes and goes. suddenly it can dropp to normal when driving.

The motor and boat is a 2008-model with Fariamade instruments.

This question gets asked quite often... check the wiring connections to ensure they are clean. Then access the back-side of the tach where you will see a small wheel marked 2-4-6-8. Give the wheel a spin a few times then reset it to 8. If that fails then it's time to return the tach to Faria since they have a lifetime warranty.

Thanks, I gave the wheel a spin and set i at the same place.. now the tach works great :)

I have a 2000 25 foot(don’t know model, just bought it) & tach & compass don’t work. Any ideas? Thanks

Read post# 2. And if you have a "2000 25 foot" boat.... you do not have an SC25. Your boat info says you have a "Talari' and yet your other post indicates you have a Z252. If might help if you knew what boat you actually have...
