original prop ?
I have a 1996 Shabah 210 wth a 5.7 2 barrel top speed is 40 MPH by GPS with a full takl of gas and just me in the boat, RPM 4400. my prop is a 14 inch with 19 pitch. does anybody know what is the specs on the original prop and what is expected to be top speed? I do not run at top speed a lot mostly just cruising and pulling tuber and skiers. I want to know that every thing is right before making any changes.

Re: original prop ?
There is no 'specified' prop but there is a 'likely' one. The boat likely came with the 19" prop but you should be getting about 50 mph out of that boat/engine combo. At 4400 rpms at WOT you are right on the low end of the range (4400-4800). There are lots of possibilities as to why its not performing as well as it should. Is the prop deformed or chewed up at all? Is the bottom of the boat clean? Is the motor in good tune?

Re: original prop ?
will be tuning it up or putting a DUI distributor in it. I have been starting with things needed to get it to the water like a trailor, now I am going to work on getting it running good. This is my first boat, had a 15 foot for one season wife like boating now have this one. Boat is solid needs cosmetics bottom needs done no major problems just cosmetics, winter project. Thought that I would work on motor and performance this summer. Yes I realize at bottom end of RPM range. Just do not know what is more important right now!!!!!!!
