    Hi Oregon,

Since I work about 10 minutes away from this business, I asked around. I haven't found anyone that has used them yet. I then I asked my Marine (Crow's Nest in Maple Plain, MN, whom I believe are the most trustworthy business I've ever dealt with), and they said they recommend another Minnesota company called BC Propeller. They get all their prop work done by them, and cautioned me to make sure that any prop repair company actually rebuild versus file them down. They've run into several customers whose props had been filed down (instead of rebuilt) and then sanded and painted to look as good as new.

I checked out the BC Propeller website, and while it is not as nice as PropMD, they do show pricing.

The reason Im asking, is I wanna step up to a 28p prop. They have two sets and are willing to trade straight up for my 26's (which they have none and are more desirable to their customers).

Before I ship mine I wanna make sure they are legit.

Anyway you could just stop by and check em out ? Does the store look as good as their website, or are they running it from some guys garage in a dumpy side of town and are ready to beat feet at any moment and head South ?

Any assistance would greatly be appreciated.

I'll probably be able to stop by tomorrow, Saturday at the latest. The good news is that they are in a great area - within 10 minutes of some of the most expensive housing in the Mpls area (where many of the pro athletes live). If they were fly-by-night, they would not survive in this suburb very long.

    Hey Oregon,

Not to hijack, but what are you hoping to get by pitching up to 28? Not being a troll, I'm genuinely interested as I don't know a whole lot about pitching.

I have 24's on my Z302 now and I feel like I hit the rev limiter way too easy.

    Thanks,

    Nick

Mine too came with 24's. I too could easily hit 4400 (max revs). I stepped up to 26's and still do the same thing. although it's a lil slow pulling a skier out of the water now with a full boat of peps and a big load of fuel on board.

Id like to step up to 28's looking for more top speed. If I can hit 4400 then, Im gonna ship off my ECU to Az Speed and Marine for an upgrade/update. they claim they can reprogram and add 12-15 hp and increase max revs to 5200 (stock setting for both Mag and HO) and increase fuel economy 3-5 %. the cost is right at $400 for this mod.

This should propel us up and over 55 mph. I just want to make it fast enough to beat the ski boats on the river.

"This should propel us up and over 55 mph. I just want to make it fast enough to beat the ski boats on the river." This is key!

I'm really interested to hear how this goes for you. What are you maxing out at now? I hit 58 MPH in flat water 2 weeks ago with < 1/2 tank of fuel and 2 of us on board. Haven't considered the ECU modification but its probably well worth the $400 if it does what they claim it will. Do you think I would see any benefit to an ECU mod without switching my 24P props?

what motor do you have ? I have the std 454 MPI. It has a max rev of 4400 and 330hp

I hit 42.3 (gps), half tank of fuel, trimmed out on smooth water with 4 adults. I have the big smart tabs, adjusted almost flat with only (1) 80# shock installed on each side.

Increasing revs will turn the prop faster. faster prop = higher mph

The Az Speed mod is supposed to help with more HP at the bottom end, so this should help with bottom end grunt turning those bigger props.

Do you have pics of your 302 here ? If so, can you post a link ?
