I stopped by today, but they are not open on Saturdays. They are in a business park, nice location, looks to be pretty legit. At least they are not run out of some guys garage :)

Let me know if you need any other information.

what motor do you have ? I have the std 454 MPI. It has a max rev of 4400 and 330hp

I hit 42.3 (gps), half tank of fuel, trimmed out on smooth water with 4 adults. I have the big smart tabs, adjusted almost flat with only (1) 80# shock installed on each side.

Increasing revs will turn the prop faster. faster prop = higher mph

The Az Speed mod is supposed to help with more HP at the bottom end, so this should help with bottom end grunt turning those bigger props.

Did you ever go to the 28 pitch? I am thinking about switching from my 26 to a 28? My props currently are: Front 48-823667 A6 26P
Rear 48-823668 26P

My engine guy told me that the motor I have is a new Jasper engine with all the bells and whistles. Bravo III lower unit and going to a 28 pitch should handle it with no problem and might give me a just a little more top speed. He says the reason I am not already getting 40plus mph is that the hull is painted with some really thick hull paint and is slowing me down skimming across the water. I guess that makes sense and probably need to get off the idea that I am going to speed her up much. It doesnt help that my nephew just bought a baja with twin engines.

what is your max rev limit ?

can you hit it now with the 26p props ?

Az Speed and Marine in Phx can for under $500 re-program the ECU and increase the rev limit. change spark advance to lean out of the lower revs and increase fuel economy (they claim) by 12-15%

Re: Prop MD

I take it in on Tuesday for winterizing and I will ask them about the max rev limit. Whenever I had it running wide open I think it was showing 4400 rpm. Is the ECU something I can pull out myself and send to AZ Speed or will I need a mechanic to do that? I think he said I have a 454 fuel injected big block that could easily handle any mod's.

Re: Prop MD

yep. ecu is located on top in left rear of motor on my 330 hp / 4400 max rpm 454.

the 454 can handle many mild mods. except high compression and high revs (over 5500 rpm). roller cam, lifters and rockers are an excellent way (along with re-map) to get 350-400hp
