Mine has the 501cc engine and it will fly once it planes out; however it is a dog out of the hole. I have the bravoIII so shouldn't it come out of the hole better?

I had the same problem. Granted I have a 5.7 with the Alpha 1, but the same concept applies.... If your prop(s) are too steep, then you will gain top end and lose holeshot. Think of it as trying to take off in your car in 3rd gear. If you want to correct the problem, get a good WOT (wide open throttle) RPM reading and speed.... Then with a little research and math, you can figure out what props are right for you.
