Novice boater W/ prop question...
 

Just bought a new 2008 sx 21. It has the 5.0 MPI 260hp mercruiser with an Alpha sterndrive. I am trying to figure out what prop it has on it from the factory. I am looking to upgrade for more speed and not sure what direction to go. ANy advice would be much appreciated. Had boat in water for a week and already logged 22hrs! cant get enough of this thing!!!

I guess the first couple of questions are 'what prop is on it now?' and 'how does it perform?' before you consider any changes. You need to know what your top speed is as well as what your rpm's are at top speed.

If you remove the prop you should see the diameter & pitch stamped on the inside of the hub.
