need a new prop
 
Hi,

new owner of a 1998 shaba bowrider 135hp,the prop is a bit chewed.

are any makes better than others ? what size pitch etc, i have spoken to a few boat yards in the UK and they where less than helpfull

No real difference between the mfrs if you are just looking for an aluminum replacement prop. Some of the members who have the 4 banger use 17" pitch props and some use 19" pitch props. Either size will work depending on what you want the boat for (ie cruising vs skiing/tubing/wakeboarding). What size prop is on your boat now? Prop size will be stamped on the inside of the prop hub.

I've got an 18P 4 blade Stilleto if you are interested. $200 and it's yours.

That one will work on your boat also and its a SS prop. Shipping to the UK might be a little pricey though... :(

the plan is Skiiing / tubing , which size is best 17 or 19 I am assuming an 18 is the best of both ?,I will check what is on now .

Any idea on postage costs to the uk ?

we want to use the boat for skiing /tubing, is 18 the right pitch,this is all new to me so please bear with me

An 18" - 4 blade will work for what you want. The 4 blade provides just a little extra grip which gives a little more control and a little extra jump 'out of the hole' while towing tubes/people etc
