Re: Prop Size

Hey Mikey-

I just purchased a High Five 21P for my 95 Z202 (5.0 LX). The previous owner had an 18P 4 blade Stiletto and the boat was running 5400 RPM with just me in it. The 21P High Five brought the RPM's down to 5000 WOT. I am assuming this will be safe with a full load of people and gear because the boat shouldn't hit 5000 WOT. The speedo said 51 mph. I haven't GPSed it yet.

My mechanic said my outdrive is a 1.65 ratio versus a 1.5 that it should have had. This boat runs so strong I bet I could hit 60 with a three blade prop.

What do you think about those RPM's though?

Danny

P.S.-know anyone that could use a 4 blade Stiletto?

Thanks Mike That was very helpful.
The link provided had good prices. I'm going to go with the 4 blade Alum 14.25 x19. and see how the boat performs before I invest in a SS prop.
Now to find a good price on a swim platform.

The 5000 is pushing it but i'd rather be slightly over than slightly under the recommended range. Just dont run it at WOT for any length of time since that will cause excessive wear & tear.

Hey Peter-

I've got a prop in exactly the same size you are looking for. It's a Stiletto 4 blade 18P. Give me a shout if you are interested.

Danny
