Post Best planning Prop

Looking for advise here guys,i have a 1994 Barchetta 3.0 l alpha 1.
The prop looks like the original. My WOT is about 4700 and my top end speed is about 38 mph.
I am not concerned about my top end speed but would like my boat to plan out quicker especially with kids tubing or 4 or 5 people in the boat.
Any good prop advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. thx

Look for a stamping on the hub of the prop. We'll need to know what pitch and diameter you currently have in order to make recommendations. Obviously, you could go with a 17 pitch and/or 4/5 blade prop to make it get better bite and rev up faster. But knowing your current prop would help immensely. I'm guessing it's 14.25 X 19?? If so, drop to that 17 pitch and look for a 4 blade. Stainless steel will flex less and give better overall performance, but at a price. Aluminum is still good for your use.

    Hi dennis0329,
Our Mariah Talari 190 has the 4.3LX Alpha I Gen II and we've got the High5 blade which is a 5 blade stainless steel prop. It really helps pull us out of the water well. Even a friend of mine that tried to talk me into buying a ski boat was impressed with how well it pulled all of us out of the water. She plains out pretty quick, at around 17MPH or so. Not sure how she would do with the original prop, though I do have that stored on the boat as a spare, just never put it on to test the difference.

    Hope this helps,
    Dave Myers
