Prop Swap 98 Z275

Hello Friends,

My SS prop 15.5" x 19 pitch is pretty beat up
I get 42 mph at WOT

Any suggestions on swapping with a different prop
To get better performance on Improving Too Speed?

:D

What rpms were you running at WOT? Single or dual prop?

Did you look at any of the instructional STICKYS at the top of this forum?

4500 rpm it has a single 3 blade

Yes I read all the stickies
I also read about all this elevation.
I'm at sea level down here in Houston surrounding lake and river areas

$150 at a prop shop to rebuild it. Might gain you some speed if its beat up.
You could always try a 21p an see what it does. Prob drop your rpm to 4200. I think majority of motors are 4200-4600 wot.

You're probably not going to gain any real top speed no matter prop pitch you change to but it might be worth having the existing one rebuilt as Moto suggests as a new SS prop will be $250+. You might help your low-mid range performance a bit by going to a 20" - 4 blade SS prop. It should keep your rpms up around 4350-4400 and provide a little more 'bite' when accelerating without losing any top speed.
