Underwater LEDs

One of my boat buddies gave me an LED drain plug for Christmas. There are a bunch of different brands to choose from on eBay, I have the Runninghotracing brand. Looks really well built. I emailed the seller regarding the durability of the plug and its pigtail. The seller informed me he has sold over 3000 of them and has not had any issues with boaters that have to remove/replace the plug between outings. (We have to remove our drain plugs to assure the Zebra muscle inspectors the boat is as water free as possible to limit the spread/exposure of invasive aquatic species)

I have not seen anyone with these yet but it promises to be pretty bright!

Haha, no- Bob replied to me!

"Dear motoxxx43,

Chad hasn't been a problem and I have SOLD & shipped over 3000 of these , my dealers and our shop when we install these leave a feet feet of slack in the Bilge so the cable can turn with the plug without slack u have the chance of twisting and breaking the wires . I have 3 in my personal boat and we put bullet connectors 12" off the drain plug and pull the plugs on Monday mornings and put them in the truck toolbox .hope this helps
Bob"
