Mariah Radio Bezel Refresh
7 Attachment(s)
Recently purchased a Mariah Shabah with a broken Radio bezel and no radio. Hey! No problem, Time to have some fun :D
1) Started out with the basic shell wrapped in color match vinyl 2) Made a paper then traced to cardboard face plate which will be my stencil for the black ABS plastic (Pic) 3) Use an Olfa knife to trace and cutout the outlines of radio, pocket, Kicker bass knob, and power seat switch. 4) Wrapped the ABS panel in Speaker enclosure carpet (used 3M spray glue) 5) Re-assembled the Bezel and then applied two layers of 3M fiberglass mat and resin to add strength for the weight of radio and longevity of the frame. The radio is a Pioneer FH-X700BT Attached pictures of each step. Thanks, John Rush |

Thats a great idea and you did a great job. I am doing the same thing with 1/8 thick piece of aluminum. Also doing both switch panels with it. Going to have all 3 powder coated black. I also took some 1/16 thick aluminum and remade my horn cover that was missing when I got the boat and will have it powder coated the same color as the hull.
