Default para sailing

Hi,

New Shabah owner here..

Looking to install a make shift winch for para sailing... yes I know dangerous and all... leave it to the professionals.. etc. etc..

My question is where is the best place to bolt down the base of a winch/mast...I have installed tripods before 30 years ago in j-crafts etc...

The pull on a para sail is about 2-3 skiers and I want to go to a winch since the concept of launching behind the boat like a water skier is very limiting based on wind direction and such.. also winch systems are much safer

I have been through the site and best I figure is the longitudinal beams down the center seem the best to use for support to..

It seems like the wake board masts eventually stress the glass on the edges...

Any feed back is appreciated..

cBob

Well, I have no helpful advice but I do hope you post some pics of the setup and it being used after you get it going. Interesting endeavour.

I gotta follow Dredd's lead here. This is an interesting project that i've never seen done before.

Interesting... did you ever get this done?
Does it require speed? or just power?

I imagine a pontoon boat could do this with the right prop and power, if speed is not needed.
