Swim deck speaker
Wanted to see those that have put a speaker at the swim platform facing the water. I thought this would be better to hear music in the water versus cranking it up loud.
Thanks! |
Re: Swim deck speaker
Oregandunes is the only member I've seen do that so far. Pretty popular option on wake boats though. Seems like maybe Tige was the first to do it in production, if you're looking for ideas.

Re: Swim deck speaker
Three things:
(1) Really good speakers that project loudly (2) Run a very clean amp to them (3) Clean head unit. Im running a Fusion iPod deck (MS-IP500), Polk Audio speakers (db 651) and JL Audio marine amp (mhd 900/5). My kids can hear the music real well on the tubes while going 25 mph. Nice thing is I can barely hear it in the boat. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-...G_0276-SML.JPG http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-...2/IMG_0291.JPG |

Re: Swim deck speaker
I bet you almost cried when you cut that first hole out.

Re: Swim deck speaker
Did you run your speakers through some type of splitter so you can set different volume levels in the cockpit and the swim platform?

Nahhh. I wasnt even there. I marked the wholes and went for pizza. when I got back, they were cut. Buddy of mine has done all my stereo stuff for years. he's not afraid of anything. |

No. I run the Fusion Marine MS-IP500 head unit. It has 4 zones. Zones 1&2 are in the main cockpit, zone 3 in the open bow and zone 4 on the swim step. |
