Windshield Foam Replacement
 

Hi,

I purchased a 95 Z202 Shabah last August. I will be in the process of restoring minor things on the boat. One of the questions I have is about the 1 inch foam that wraps around the boat just below the windshield. What is the foam for and how do I replace it as it is weathered and looks terrible. By replacing this foam my boat will look brand new.

Could I paint the foam? If so, was the original color flat black or glossy? If it would be just as easy to replace it I would prefer that instead.

Thanks Chris-Is this something I could purchase at Menard's (Home Depot, Lowe's), or does Taylor Made Accessories have a different kind of foam?
