Seadek flooring over plywood
Good afternoon all!
I am new to the page and also a new Mariah owner (1994 z212). I have searched the threads for an answer or guidance but couldn’t find anything for my particular question. While I love this bot, I do not love all the carpet in it. My thoughts were to rip it all out and put seadek it a form of foam padding down. My question is, what would I need to do to the plywood to make it “waterproof” since I will be removing the protective layer of carpet? Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated! |

Hi Family fun
I have done the same as you ripped out the carpet on my Z202 1995. The carpet after a clean wasn't to bad so its been put back in with a view to changing next year. The best thing I found to seal the deck was a water based epoxy two part paint ( they call it bilge paint) Its a seriously good sealer and goes on thick enough to level out the ply imperfections. Here is the supplier I got mine from in the UK. Home | ASK Coatings Ltd, Epoxy Specialists. I'm sure there are other suppliers near you. Although this is pretty safe stuff I would still use all the Epoxy safe working gear. All the best. Andy. |

It had very poor drainage which is now replaced with plastic pipes overplayed with resin and Matt . All covered by some artificial grass !! The surround to the locker was corroded badly so it is now reinforced with carbon fibre tape : Hope this helps come back if you want any further ideas or help I will do my best.
