Re: Fusion MS-IP500 head unit
I don't think my Galaxy S3 will play music though a USB - I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure it'll only work with a headphone style jack or bluetooth. Are you selling any other stereo equipment? Do you have any pictures?

Re: Fusion MS-IP500 head unit

Re: Fusion MS-IP500 head unit
I didn't even realize that was a link lol. I just checked online to make sure I wasn't nuts - the Galaxy S3 won't stream though USB :(
I do want to buy a radio and a few speakers. I have missed out on 3 HELLUVA good deals on ebay. I missed a almost new Sony that went for $17 dollars, an awesome Kenwood setup for $200.00 that included tons of stuff, and a brand new in the box Alpine unit for $180.00. The Fusion stuff looks to be the top of the top when it comes to Marine Audio. I'd love to have it, but i'm afraid it won't work for my application. Good luck on the sell! p.s. are you selling any other audio stuff though? |
Re: Fusion MS-IP500 head unit
I have 20 years of audio equipment that I have removed from vehicles and upgraded over the years in my storage unit let me look

Re: Fusion MS-IP500 head unit
Or you could buy a cheap iPod on craigslist for 20 bucks and put all your music onto it and then inside this fusion deck

Re: Fusion MS-IP500 head unit
I would really like something with Bluetooth or an Aux. input on the front. If that did either I would gladly send you some paypal funds now.
It's funny how much technology has changed over the years. I used to work for a few different Car Audio places and installed professionally for about 10 years off and on. I quit doing anything back around 2002 and never really messed with anything since. I used to have a bunch of High end Polk, Alpine, Infinity, and Phoenix Gold stuff laying around... however I cleared house on everything about 6 months before I purchased our boat. I do have a nice set of 6.5" Polk DB components and another really nice set of 6.5" Polk DB coaxial's that I thought about installing along with some type of small sub enclosure. However none of it is Marine grade (my boat doesn't stay in over night and is always covered before it gets to late. I just don't know how well those would hold up over time. |
Re: Fusion MS-IP500 head unit
Put em in and run them til they quit.
Then you can buy marine grade components. My first boat had Kraco.......yes Kraco speakers. They worked fine for years! :) Polk should last as long as you own the boat , as long as they don't get soaked.:( Saltwater use is a whole nuther story. JMO |
Re: Fusion MS-IP500 head unit
Sorry to HiJack this thread.. I would love to have the Fusion player - just have to think it over since i'm Anti-Apple and have everything Droid based lol.
How old is the player and sat. radio Oregon? Does it have a remote? I'm still pondering it over in my head, but if someone else is interested sell sell sell lol. Don't let me hold you up. I'm really tight - well.. actually poor, but tight sounds much better bwahahaha |
Re: Fusion MS-IP500 head unit
I bought the 500 head unit just last year during the winter. I think there is a thread here when I installed it. Loved it so much I just had to buy the latest greatest this past fall with all the new bells and whistles.
Satellite I purchased just last spring. Had it hooked up to service just for the summer. Never used the service (ok...2 or 3 times). When Im in town, radio works perfect, but when out of town, 4000 songs on my Ipod is all I need and theres never a clarity issue with the ipod. I dont have a wired remote. Didnt need it in mine, as Im the captain, so it's my choice what your gonna listen to. However, look for the MS-WR100 (no others will work) FUSION Marine Wired Remote Control |
