Default I'VE GOT THE "ITIS" - 1996 210Z Shabah 5.7 LX - Opinions

Well spring is here and I've got the "itis". After two seasons with my '97 198 SE I've started to think about 2' longer and a little more HP. I still like my boat, but at the right price I'd be willing to 'size up'. I know the 4.3 V6 is more economical and 19'8" is a nice trailer boat. BUT I still have the "itis", what are the groups thoughts on this boat? I'm waiting to hear back about hours and mech history. Interior is reasonable, with expected wear. Whats the market price for one of these now... CDN $$. I'm sure I'm not the only fool suffering from the "itis" before summer hits

Hi Gang, I've posted pic's under 1996, 210 Z 5.7 LX. Notice the great Canadian weather... no snow, just grey wet sky's. And the ice is almost out of the marina, I'm not kidding!

Comes from the term "2 foot itis". Means you've got the itch (like a disease) to buy a bigger boat!

No "itis" here, but I am in serious withdrawal from dropping the hammer on my Shabah. May 24 can't get here soon enough for me...

The 5.7L in that size is a nice match. I really like having that combo in mine; it gets up on plane really quick and has lots of power for pulling skiers etc.

It can be a thirsty beast if you like to run WOT, but it doesn't do too bad at moderate rpms. I would bet that in a hull that size and weight, for a typical cruising speed it uses about the same as the V6.

Hi Vern!! I bought my Z210 last June and have been very happy with it.It was the boat I wanted in 97'(mine is a year newer than the one your thinking of picking up)Fuel wise, you're right about it being a gas hog.But if you don't pull alot of skiers or tubers,it really is'nt that bad.I paid $15,600.00 US for mine last year from an auction on ebay.I know you wanted help on pricing in Canadian $'s but not sure what a good price for you would be in the Great White North----Good luck and happy boating!!!!
