Default Cockpit Layout

Greetings all, just made an offer on a year 2000 182 Bowrider (subject to sea trial).

I'm a bit confused by the layout though, as I have yet to see other than a rear bench when googling images.

This one has a back to back seat passenger side and rear jump seats (apologies for the small pics).

Anyone help in identifying the model?

Thanks guys

My guess is a 182 "runabout" but not the "z" version?

That is option #2 according to the brochures.
It is available on all Mariah models. It consists of a drivers bucket seat , passenger lounge seat , and rear jump seats.
The Mariahs with the rear bench seat are part of the Super Sport seating option.

    Welcome to MOC!

    Got that right.
Most Mariahs I see are definitely the SS layout.
I think most people like the swivel bucket seats and large sunpad area.

Yeah, I must admit the swivel seats and the sunpad do have a certain attraction. Mind you, I dont know if its just my imagination, but the bowrider portion of the boat seem to be larger than other marques i've looked at? Or perhaps it's just me

Cheers Mike. Just as a matter of interest, how does someone of average height (say 5 foot 10) manage to get their legs between the passenger seat and the dash?

I could, of course, change the wife for a smaller model but that seems a little extreme

Yeah, we tried that. Moved as far back as the toothed adjuster will allow but she still had to sit at 45 degrees with legs in the gap through to the bow. I think the only way around it would be to take the seat out, unscrew the seat base and relocate it aft by about 4 inches and screw it back in. Bit concerned about the engine hatch opening ok then, without being impeded by the rear facing seat. Where there's a will, there's a way (or so they say)

Should have taken a clearer picture but thats it with the seat fully aft.
