I think the only way around it would be to take the seat out, unscrew the seat base and relocate it aft by about 4 inches and screw it back in. Did it go as smoothly as it seems?
How did you secure the pedestal to the floor? I saw the bit about the ally plate being universal so I assume you used self tapping bolts? Or did you you find a way of getting nuts behind the plate?

Had to use self tappers. The aluminum plate is sandwiched within the floor construction so short of taking the entire floor apart there is no way to reach under there and use bolts/nuts/washers. That plate isn't very big though at 12" x 12"...
