Last Original Mariah?

Does anybody know when the last original Mariah boat was built and which model?

The plant officially closed on May 23, 2001.

I have copies of the factory build sheets, but not with me right now and I don't know that I have the very final ones, but from what I know, production was on a very limited basis towards the end, and there are a few 2002 models that exist, but very few. I'll look it up for you when I get a chance!

The last boat I have record of is 21864, a 180 SS manufactured on 4/27/01. They began using the 2002 model year number in late March of '01 for certain models, including the 2002 prototypes. The last 7 boats that were made were listed as "sales demos" with 2002 serial numbers.

Interesting Chris.
Wouldn't have any pics would ya?
Were they a different design or just 2001 model with new badges?

No pics, unfortunately. There were some made as "2002 prototypes", (in fact, Jimmy's last boat was one of them).

I had heard they were working on redesigning some of them, mainly the larger models, like the 272, which had redesigned interiors, new dash & gauge clusters, and the new rear seat configuration (as seen in the z275st's). Looks like they were renaming them as well, incorporating the "SS" and "ST" and "STC".

There were also two new models, the "247ST" and "277ST", which were both available as Z models, however I don't know that any ever made it out of the factory. There were only a few made, which were only listed as 2002 prototypes, or Dealer Council Demos...

There is a Shabah 250 in the 2001 gallery that I noticed. It looks as if the whole stern had been changed from the 2000 model I have. It appears super deep in comparison. Made me wonder if that change was made for performance or ergonomics or?? Guess we'll never know.
