Default 1995 Davanti stuck in gear
Hello all, just left the lake where our boat had to be towed. It is stuck in gear and will not start . We are thinking the worst, new transmission? Any thoughts?

    My first guess would be the shift cable / mechanism has gotten fouled or failed.

    Thanks Mikey, of course it being a holiday, we are unable to have the marina mechanic take a look. I can't wait to try and get it on the trailer without it running. My husband will be home, thank goodness to help! I wonder if the cable can be replaced while it is in the water? I sure hope it is not a $6k fix! I hate to see the old girl sitting in the water unable to run!!!

    Can fix in water as long as it isn't the shift cable.
    But , I'd just float her on the trailer and get her up out of the water to make things easier.
