That is an awesome boat and I'm so jealous! I agree with all of you on the radios. I just installed a $90 Kenwood unit from Best Buy and two of the Kenwood marine speakers. I have to say I am really impressed with the $99 Kenwood speakers they have good for rain sounds and even have a little bump. Soon I want to add another set of them and a sub. But for right now those two Kenwoods are a lot better than what I had stock. I finally upgraded to the modern world as the original radio was a tape deck. I think the only cassette I still have is probably poison or Whitesnake lol

Such a great time this weekend! Had her out for about 3 hours. Trying to get the hang of parking and docking the boat, definitely not the easiest thing as boats don't really have a "brake pedal" haha. Have to hit reverse to slow down, etc. The kiekhafer definitely makes it much simpler than a boat that doesn't have it. Water was a bit choppy as it was a windy day, but nonetheless had a blast!

We'll be going out again on the lake on Wednesday

Does anybody have a good tutorial for how to anchor the boat properly? So far I've read the following:

For every foot of water depth, have about 5 feet of line.

Drop anchor in water, guide it all the way down.

Reverse boat until line is snug, and boat is where you want it to be.

Tie it off on the hook at the front of the boat.

When retrieving anchor, drive forward until you are directly above the line.

Pull up until anchor comes out of the water.

    Is that about it?

I just drop and wait for it to hook up then tie it off. If moves I do it again. Not a fan of dragging the anchor with the boat. IMO

I have 10' of chain on my anchor. Now I don't have an issue hooking up unless the bottom is covered in tumbleweeds. I also have a 34# box anchor but I've not had to use them both at same time.

What anchor do you normally use? I keep reading that the most commonly used one is the danforth style?
