I am so sick of this winter weather. :( I'm hearing a high of 15c (about 59f) for Tuesday here then back down to 2c for Wed. Hopefully this rain they're talking about will wash away some of that snow but i wont hold my breath.

We share a family cottage on an island up by Pointe au Baril on G-Bay. I dont expect i will get up there until August this year though as my wife has suddenly come down seriously ill (read paralyzed from the waist down) so getting her mobile again is my first priority. It's looking like a non-boating spring for me right now.....but that'll mean i can get at the boat work i had planned for this year before i get it back on the water!

Sorry to here about your wife. Hope she get well soon.

I don't know how ya'll make it through winter up there. We only have about 4 or 5 non boating months here. I have a hard time with that.

She will recover but it may take a few months. As for winter....uggh. We shut down boating usually by the mid to end of September and the earliest i've had it back in the water is mid-May up here. If ya try & go out with it during the winter months, the polar bears up here mistake you for a seal.....;)

Wish her a speedy recovery from all her buddies on the MOC webpage.

Last year I didnt want to put the boat away, but then when I called up the marina where I store my boat ... " the sooner the better " .... (umm no its not.. hehe).

Dont think about fall storage already tho. Be positive! The snow will melt and eventually you will be on the water!

Sorry to hear about Terri. Wishing her a full and speedy recovery. I'm well aware of the impact sudden illness has on your lives, hope everything goes well for you and yours.

It was nice just to don a spring jacket this morning. Hell, if it wasn't pouring rain on my commute, I'd have probably opened the sunroof on the Jeep!

Thanks everyone. She is a fighter and the doc says she has come much farther than he expected in such a short period of time. She's having to learn how to walk again right now & it's a little painful to watch but she is determined to be able to get into the boat & go to the cottage this summer and it wouldn't surprise me if she manages it. I will let her know everyone is thinking of her. :wink_thumbup:

Spring ? weather in southern Ontario !!! And i've converted the temps for you 'non-metric' types.

Can boating season be far behind?? Well, actually yes here in Ontario.....next week could bring highs of below 0 and snow. :shakehead:
