I had a nice long explanation written up and this damn windows had a pop up for 8.1 and whatever I was typing at the time must have meant "update"... Sorry.

As I was saying:
My 250 is backed in the barn for the winter. Getting behind it for a photo is not going to happen. I can supply some measurements if need be.
In regards to the photo:
Red= where I have my smart tabs.
Blue= where I would like to have had them.
Green= the over hanging part of hull that an owner in Denver cut into, re-fiberglass's and mounted the tops of Lenco tabs. The fiberglass store filled me in on that project. I have no idea what model Mariah exactly I was just told it was a large one. They said it was a real pain in the butt to do too. There is a ton of Styrofoam up in there. Finish product was sweet from what I understand.

Anyway, I mounted mine as far out as possible while keeping actuators and tabs on same plane. At the time I was unaware one could mount them with the actuator on a different plane than the tab even though I had seen pictures of it floating on the web. Was not sure it would work correctly but have been assured they work just fine when mounted in that manor. That tells me they would probably do really well mounted where the blue marking in the photo is. Do I know this for sure? Nope. I kind of want to give it a try but between the swim platform, tabs, sonar and odometer I have enough holes back there!

Lol, I.know what you mean, I' not looking for to drilling more holes in my boat either, but it definitely needs some help getting her butt out of the water, thanks for the info, for the most part the other Mariah's I've seen mounted them exactly as you, and I've only seen one that moved them towards the outside, yours was the closest in length to mine, so I was just interested where you mounted them and if they worked correctly there, thanks for the response and have a good evening
