what type of maintenance should i consider over the off season.

year three with the original mariah has been great. i want to carry this great performance into the 2014 season. i have about 565 hrs on the clock.(5.7 v8) what im trying to figure out is what type of things should i be looking for or consider for maintenance issues this upcoming off season.

the beginning part of this year i did a tune up with new plugs and wires, thermostat, new water pump (outdrive) and new belts. other then the obvious oil change, fuel filter, carb rebuild and quite possibly a new outdrive b/c of a broken cavitation plate and the out drive is pitted beyond welding too. what else should i consider?
im all for preventive maintenance , i don't do cheap when it comes to things like this and will replace anything that is remotely questionable.
thank you

Sounds like you got it pretty well covered philly.
Only thing I can think of right off the top of my head is maybe change the drive , exhaust , and shift boots out. :)
Preventive maintenance is what keeps us on the lake and happy! :)

Re: what type of maintenance should i consider over the off season.

that was all done 2 years ago with the gimble bearing being replaced. whats great is i take on zero water. the only time the bilge pump goes off is when im stuck in the rain. does anything ever have to get done with the exhaust or the cooling passageways thru the engine? anything ever have to get taken apart or some sort of chemical run thru there just to get all the rust or old river nastiness out? i have no problem with keeping the engine cool , but like you said, a well maintained boat is a happy boat! and if i dont ever have to call a buddy to tow me back to port i will die a happy man!:)
