Question regarding 1999 Shabah 222
I am looking at a 1999 Shabah 222. It has a 7.4 MPI Bravo one and I cannot find any specs on this motor. Any info would be much appreciated. I went to look at this boat today and it is a beautiful boat and looks top notch as far as quality goes. Are there any things I should look out for?
Any help or info...I appreciate. Thanks Guys! -Abs777 |

Welcome to MOC Abs! :)
Can you get the serial number off of it? It is probably the 310 HP version. I'm sure some of the members with this package will chime in soon.:wink_thumbup: Once again , Welcome |
Re: Question regarding 1999 Shabah 222
Colorado Diablo's right, the 7.4L MPI is 310hp. I've had two of them, and it's a great power package. Just stay on top of the routine maintenance, filters, plugs, etc., and keep an eye on the oil level and you'll be golden until you get above the 1000 hour range. These engines start needing a little closer monitoring once you pass the 1000 hour threshold. Usually rebuilds are necessary anywhere between 1000 and 1500 hours.
In a 222, that boat should fly with the 7.4L! :wink_thumbup: |
