Inline fuel cooler

Do any of you have these on your engine to prevent vapor lock? The tech at the marina says my engine setup is prone to locking and recommended removing the flat cover above the engine to improve air flow. I would think it would over heat the underside of the sundeck.
I already fill up with ethanol free gas.

I'd try re-routing the fuel line away from hot areas , and/or using a insulating wrap first Patrick.
I can't remember , is it carbed? If so , you could also put a Phenolic Carb Spacer in. they help reduce boiling of fuel in the carb.

No, it's injected. Maybe a good project would be like you said pulling the line off to injectors and wrapping. What about adding another bilge blower?

Oversized or more aggressive engine conmpartment vents might help.
Don't think the bilge blower would do much. You'd have to run it all the time.
A cool can might end up being the only option.
How much did your mechanic quote for the complete install?
