Default Replacing 4.3Lwith 5.7L

Is it possible to replace a V6 with a V8? If so, would the power increase be noticeable.

U could but u would have to change lower unit and out drive. I went from a 5.0to a 5.7. If u go from a 4.3 u should notice decent hole shot and top speed increase.

    Hello and welcome Jruggeri!
To be perfectly honest , if you want a V8 then you need to buy you a boat with a V8.
Unless you have deep pockets and lots of time , or absolutely love your boat now , it isn't worth the expense.
Since you have a 200 , the weight issue isn't a problem , nor is the power rating of the boat.
To do it right you're going to have either a load of money to invest in it , or you need a donor boat.

    JMO

    Once again ,
    Welcome!!

after you spend all this extra money on gas your gonna be wishing that 4.3 back in. you can do anything you want but yes its a tremendous amount of work. buying a boat with av8 would be alot easier .
