bow speakers

So I installed a new stereo and four new speakers. They sound amazing as long as you are behind the windshield. The problem is that the people in the now can't hear the radio. I have a 1996 z210. Anybody put speakers in the bow? If so what sizes and type?

Hi,

I put some Kenwood kfc1652mrw in the bow for the kids on a 95 202.

I used a roto zip to install 6 speakers and a sub. I went through a few bits but thought it was the way to go.

It made me very nervous at first but in the end I was happy with the results.

Re: bow speakers

I just finished installing a set of Kicker KM620.2 Marine Components and a Clarion M475 receiver. I got a heck of a deal on them (purchased two pairs @ 49.99 a pair). The seller still has them, but raised the price (probably due to the demand).

Customer service and communication was great, and shipping was really fast and free. I'm debating on buying another pair and adding them in the bow as well. If so I will be looking to amplify them. I did have to enlarge the openings for the pair I installed tonight - but was able to use a jig saw. If I do install in the bow I will be using my rotozip with a fresh bit.

Here are a few pictures of my install (I still need to sweep and scrub my carpet and vinyl interior. It was nasty behind the cup holders (which broke when I took them off. They were cracked around the screw holes - so I guess I will be searching for new ones).

I still need to install the second pair - but will be building or buying some type of pods for them. I don't want to cut any of my interior up to mount them - which really cuts down on install locations though.

Happy boating!

Nick
