Fuel Questions

I have a 1999 Shabah Z250, what size is the fuel tank? Also I have to put fuel in extremely slow, any idea why? I'm also not sure that the fuel guage is working right.

Re: Fuel Questions

When you say that you have to put fuel in really slow, why do you have to do that? Does it back spray on you? If so, that means that your vent tube is clogged. The fuel tank will have a little vent tube that runs to the outside of the boat. This lets air escape out when you are pumping fuel in. I had this happen on an old cruiser we had and as soon as I replaced that fuel vent line, the problem went away. Usually the vent is right next to the fuel fill.

Re: Fuel Questions

You are a platinum contributor so you have access to the fuel tank size etc in the brochures. I believe its 65 gals.

As for slow fuel filling, others here have had similar problems. Check to make sure your fuel tank vent is not blocked.

Fuel gauge problems are also normal. Check your connections at the fuel sender unit. Take them apart, clean them & put them back together. Be CAREFUL about sparks in that area. If your gauge bounces around a bit then there is a fix reported here.
