Re: Tabs Added

The few lake's that we have boated at were operated by the US Army Corp. of Engineer's - this might sound stupid.. but is the DNR part of that as well? I have no clue - i'm in Ohio and usually boat on the river. Luckily... I know i'm pretty safe as long as i'm hanging in the middle. However we do have some large sand bars and various debris that crop up. I'm going to install that app and tell a friend of mine about it as well... he could use it. Last year he buried his Diablo into a large bank of sand/mud. It tore his skeg all the way off and completely ate his prop (your prop looks new compared to his after he tried to sink his boat). The lower unit was trimmed all the way down - and buried completely. The whole hull was resting onto of the mud/silt/sand - stinky river slime. I had a hell of a time helping get his boat out. I also found out that it's very hard to tow a boat with a small motor like mine. You don't move fast, and you burn gas quickly lol.

Hope you get the new prop on and ready for the water asap! Do you have a depth gauge? If not i'd grab one quickly and get it installed. I had mine in the boat (wiring and all) in about 30 minutes if that. I have the lowrance LST3800. I installed the thru hull transducer with a large high quality toilet bowl wax ring (if there is a such thing as high quality crapper rings lol). I didn't use epoxy or anything, just made a donut/bowl shape out of the ring and shoved it in firmly. I then took some of the wax and built it up around it to help hold it in place. Grosses stuff in the world to play with and sticky as hell... but it's never budged even with all the heat.
